About IQ Insolvency

Simon Renshaw is the firm's Director and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, regulated by the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA). He is also a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

IQ Insolvency Limited processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our Data Protection Officer is Simon Renshaw.

Subject access requests

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. There is no charge for a subject access request in normal circumstances. If your request is 'manifestly unfounded or excessive' (for example, repetitive requests) a fee may be charged to cover our administrative costs.

Complaints procedure

If you have any concerns or wish to raise a complaint about the service you have received, please contact us in the first instance — by email to info@iqinsolvency.com, by telephone on 020 8153 1270, or in writing to Simon Renshaw at 6A Nesbitts Alley, First Floor, Barnet, EN5 5XG. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to provide a substantive response within 21 working days.

If you remain dissatisfied with our response, you have the right to refer the matter to the Insolvency Complaints Gateway, which is operated by the Insolvency Service, an Executive Agency of the Department for Business and Trade (DBT). You can contact the Insolvency Complaints Gateway by:

The Insolvency Complaints Gateway will assess your complaint and refer it to the relevant regulator (in our case, the Insolvency Practitioners Association) for investigation.

Professional indemnity insurance

Under the Provision of Services Regulations 2009, we are required to disclose details of our professional indemnity insurance.

Regulatory disclosures

IQ Insolvency Limited and Simon Renshaw are bound by the Insolvency Code of Ethics and the Statements of Insolvency Practice (SIPs) issued by the Joint Insolvency Committee. The IPA is the firm's authorising body for insolvency work.

Insolvency appointments are governed by the Insolvency Act 1986 (as amended) and the Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 2016.
